The Vidyalaya, which is situated in idyllic surroundings, is indeed a treat to nature lovers. Flanked by the Western Ghats in the North, the 8.6 acres campus is a haven for trees with huge canopies. Established in 1986 as a single section school, the Vidyalaya has graduated to a four section school in 25 years. It has strength of about 2040 students and 55 members of staff at present.
‘A miniature Shantiniketan’ is what many of the visitors have to remark, after having experienced the coolness felt on entering the campus. With the continual support of the administration, parents, staff and students, the Vidyalaya has created a niche for itself in eco-friendly and environmental development activities.
The Vidyalaya was all set to plunge deep into the fathomless green at the commencement of the Academic Session itself. From day one onward, the students and the members of staff in charge of the Seed Club sprang into action.
‘THINK GREEN, LIVE CLEAN’, with this motto etched clearly in their minds, our students are moving ahead, step by step, towards achieving their goal. The main drive is towards a clean, green and a pollution-free campus and to a great extent we are able to achieve it, thanks to the able guidance and cooperation of the administration and staff of the Vidyalaya.
This Blog aims to serve as a platform for the students to share their experiences on the eco-conservation and seed club activities and to create awareness on the importance of conservation of our natural resources.
